What Causes Tingling Sensation In The Hands While On Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo?
I am 45 years old, in great shape (5 7, 125 lbs) and eat right. I have been taking Ortho tri cyclen lo (generic - sprinten - just recently as they changed the generic version) and I m on my menstrual cycle pills. I have tingling down my hands and my tooth on the far right hurts. I also take amino acid when I work out so I m not sure what s happening. my husband thinks it a pinched nerve but I m nervous.
Well, there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in queries like a sign of nerve damage, repetitive stress, injuries, bacterial or viral infections, toxic exposures, and systemic diseases such as diabetes and peripheral neuropathy. There can be other reasons also like nerve entrapment, carpal tunnel syndrome, ulnar nerve palsy, hormonal imbalances and vitamin deficiencies (vitamin B1. I would suggest you consult an orthopedic surgeon for proper examination. The doctor may order a CT scan, ask for certain movements and complete blood tests. The doctor may prescribe muscle relaxants, recommend physical therapy of arm and hand along with stretching exercises and recommend particular stretching exercises.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
