What Causes Tingling Sensation In The Left Toe And Foot?

I occasionally have had an electrical shock tingling feeling in my left foot around my toes that last 10 to 15 seconds. I just had my 92 yr old uncle call me to tell me the same thing is happening to him. Do you know what that is or the medical name so I can research it online?

it appears to be neurological problem consult neurologist for examination and advise on treatment.can start taking neurobion forte daily one. exclude diabetes. can go for glycholated hemoglobin test.it appears to be peripheral neuritis.
