What Causes Tingling Sensation In The Mouth After Taking Macrobid?
I just took one dose of Macrobid for a UTI diagnosed this morning. I took it with a smoothie on an empty stomach. I have vague symptoms. Feel like my BP went up, just an overall strange sensation. Had slight tingling in my mouth. Should I continue taking it? Could this be from taking on an empty stomach?
Your symptoms are pointing towards side effect of taking Macrobid. In case if the symptoms are severe then you need to immediately stop taking the antibiotic and consult an Emergency room.. Taking the antibiotics should not be done empty stomach as it can cause more of side effects and are more related to gastric problems.. So it is better to either see your doctor or an emergency service and get evaluated and if you are doubtful then blood pressure monitoring is a must to avoid complications.. Also the physician can change your antibiotic and advise other substitutes suitable for UTI like Norfloxacin.. Along with it drink plenty of water and take urine alkalisers for faster recovery..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
