What Causes Tingling Sensation In The Neck On The Right Side?

HI. I have recently experienced tingling down the right side of my neck and into the shoulder. There is no pain involved, but it is a very funny sensation. It almost feels like electrical impulses running down that area. It happens mainly when I look down and has been occurring for around 10 days now. It is periodic.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for the query I understand your concern.
The tingling sensation in neck &shoulder region specially while bending your neck to look down .. seems to be due to cervical spondylitis causing pressure on the nerve supplying right side of neck &shoulder
You would need an x ray of the cervical spine &consultation of an orthopedic surgeon followed by needful treatment(anti inflammatory pills, local steroid injection, physiotherapy or sugery.)
.please consult a orthopedic surgeon.
Thanks.
I find this answer helpful
