What Causes Tingling Sensation In Thighs After Taking Levaquin?

I took 6 of 10 Levacquin and a week after ended up in the hospital for 3 days. My thighs started tingling the day before and my buttocks were totally numb. The next morning I could not walk and had no feeling from the hips down. I had muscle strength and tone, just no feeling. I was given 500 mg of prednisone. How long does Levacquin stay in the body? When I went back to work my fingers felt like they didn t know what tondomtontype etc. thank u! I am borderline diabetic so I can t sue the drug maker. Even though I never had peripheral neuropathy.

* The Levaquin is not known to produce leg pain, but well documented side effect of tendinitis ( inflammation and pain over tendon insertion sites ) is known.

* This effect is particularly more pronounced in persons with

@ high physical activity or exercises

@ rheumatoid arthritis conditions

@ kidney issues

@ one who is consuming steroids

So far as the systemic clearance is concerned, the drug remains in the system for a period of 7-10 days, but the side effect may last even for weeks or months depending upon the immune response of the individual body.
