Last night I had unprotected sex and went to sleep perfectly fine. When I awoke this morning I was having a tingling sensation on my labia minora. As I did a vaginal check I noticed what appeared to be a cankord sore on my left and right inner lip of the vagina. I started to worry it may be herpes and did research then thought of it was herpes wouldn t it appear on my mouth as well because we had oral sex. As the day continued and I put antifungal cream in it it starts to look like a cut and has pus and burns when I pee. I don t have insurance and can t go to a doctor. I m 19 can you please help
You are experiencing tingling sensation on the labia minora after intercourse. You have a cancroid like sore on the left and right inner lip of the vagina. Even if you had oral sex, cancroid sore may take a little time to come upon the lips. It takes 4-10 days after sexual contact to develop chancroid, though it can take as long as 35 days sometimes.
Vaginal tingling or tingling in the labia minora can be a sign that you have become infected with the herpes simplex virus or your genital herpes is about to be reactivated. Your partner and you should get tested for genital herpes and other STIs.
Sample from an active sore will be taken. One or more tests of these samples are used to see if you have herpes simplex virus (HSV), infection and show whether the infection is HSV-1 or HSV-2. Thereafter, treatment will be started if reports are found positive. It is treated with antibiotics / antivirals (Acyclovir).
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
