HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
As you stated, the symptoms of TIA are usually short term.
Tingling and other abnormal sensations are commonly due to neuropathy which is abnormal functions of the nerves.
It can be temporary or permanent and there are different possible causes.
Common causes are: (1) low levels of
vitamin b12 or folate
(2)diabetes
(3)trauma
(4)liver or
kidney disease
(5)
thyroid disease
(6)infection such as shingles
(7)side effect of medications
(8)abnormal levels of vitamin b6
(9)neurological conditions such as
stroke or ms
(10)idiopathic- cause is not known
(11)autoimmune diseases such as lupus, RA
Blood tests to screen for diabetes, vitamin levels, thyroid disease, assess kidney and liver function, screen for autoimmune diseases-- are needed for complete assessment.
I hope this helps
