What Causes Tingling Sensation On The Neck And Ear?

I recently have experienced a tingling on the surface of my left ear and the left side of my neck adjacent to my left ear. The surface on the left side of my head and ear are somewhat sensitive to the touch. I play competitive ice hockey three times a week and weight train the other four. I am 78 years old and will be 79 on Jan 3rd. I m 5 -6 tall and weigh 153 lbs. Other than what is described above I seem to be in excellent health. I do not take any medicines, Nuprin or any other drugs. Do not smole, have one glass of red wine with dinner and try and eat five small meals per day. Finally I also work full time with my wife in an Architectural Design business. Whew, I do go on!

tingling sensation in the neck and around the neck with or without pain is associated with the following causes.
1. cervical spondilysis.
2. nerve compression in the area around the neck.
3. In diabetics it is related to diabetic neuropathy.
4. Vitamin B 12 deficiency.
kindly to the following test to rule out the above causes.
1. CBC.
2. VIT B 12.
3. BLOOD SUGAR.
4. X-RAY CS SPINE.
Please let me know the reports for further guidance.
