What Causes Tingling Sensation On The Right Side Of The Face?

Lately I ve been experiencing a tingling sensation on the right side of my face and down my right arm. I don t want to over or under react. Five years ago my son was killed serving as a Marine dog handler in Afghanistan. I feel as though I m managing my grief but then I start tingling! I am VERY jumpy and physically over react to loud or surprising noises. Any thoughts?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Tingling face is a result of nerve dysfunction or nerve damage.
It can be the result of an injury to the face or exposure to cold temperatures.
It can also be related to stress.
I suggest to use painkiller medications such as Gabapentin to relieve the symptoms.
If the symptoms continue, you should see a neurologist for further evaluation.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
