Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns....

As per your complain it seems that due to flu there has been infection in ear as there is a connection between the ear and throat via Eustachian tube infection from throat can also communicate to ear leading to ear infection..

Fluid in ear and tinnitus can be due to infection and you need to consult an ENT specialist and get evaluated and in case of infection he can advise you antibiotics like Augmentin, anti-inflammatory painkiller like Motrin, antibiotic ear drops as well as fluid drainage can be done for faster relief..

You should also avoid popping of ears to unclog as it can cause injury to the eardrum..
Avoid excessive water exposure like swimming..
o not put q-tips deep in ear..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
