What Causes Tinnitus After Taking Esomeprazole?

Hi,I was diagnosed with h.pylori some 5 months ago and treated with the kit for 7days.After two months I went for testing again and it was still positive.I took the h.pylori kit again for two weeks followed by 30days esomeprazole.During this period of medication tinnitus began.what could be the cause?

A positive H pylori test after treatment does not mean the infection is still there.Depending on the testing techniques, results may be positive for many months after treatment.This is seen with rapid serologic test kits that test for the presence of antibodies.It takes time for all the antibodies to be eliminated from the body.So a positive test if with a rapid test kit may not mean infection is still there.
Tinnitus while on esomeprazole may or may not be caused by this drug.However, i will advise you see the ENT for investigation if symptom should persist.
