Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I used johnson-&-johnsons ear swab in my left ear. Now there is no pain, But I m hearing ringing type of sound constantly. I didn t foreced any deeper ear to clean any wax, but I may pushed it little where the cotton stuck in a good way, and I don t think there any cotton left even. Now it s feels like left ear 90% okay and right ear 100%. Will I recover automatically after few days? Do I wash with normal water, plugging by fingers in ear What Should I do.? Please help.
Thanks for contacting HCM with your health care concerns. you recently used a qtip to clean your ear canal. You probably pushed wax into the ear canal blocking the ear drum. The hearing has returned but not all the way. If your hearing does not improve in the next week then I recommend you see your doctor to get a good ear canal washing to remove the rest of the ear wax out of your ear canal. You should not use water to wash you ear as you could damage your ear drum.
I hope I answered your question. Please contact HCM again with your health care concerns and questions
