General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello there I have read through your question and would like to tell you that feeling tired, weight gain and intolerance to cold and heat all point towards a diagnosis of Hypothyroidism. You should get your Thyroid profile done. If diagnosis is confirmed you will have to take thyronorm tablets lifelong to maintain your TSH level. The acid reflux may be due to faulty eating habits. I would advise you to avoid spicy and oily food. Raise the head end of your bed while sleeping. Avoid caffeine and alcohol. Avoid having any meals two hours before you go to sleep. Take an antacid like ranitidine on empty stomach for a few days. I hope that answers your question. If you have any further questions please feel free to write. Thank you for choosing healthcare magic.
