What Causes Tinnitus While Experiencing Dizziness?
I hear an occasional double tap of 2 squishing sound in my ears which are accompanied by a very light disorientation. [Ex. Squish – squish …. pause …. Squish – squish] When it s really bad it repeats it self every 2 minutes or so. My Thoughts: This occurs when my BP is elevated, usually 140/80. I m under Dr s care with medication. So what do you call this and before I see my Dr what can I do? I exercise, eat right [I don t like salty foods]

Tinnitus is a common issue and most cases are benign and temporary. However, this lasts for a longer period then it should be evaluated.
Tinnitus can occur due to causes like chronic ear infection, perforated eardrum, Eustachian tube dysfunction, Meniere's disease, TMJ disorders, Acoustic Neuroma etc.
Tinnitus is not a disease in itself but it is a symptom that indicates that there is some underlying illness. I would suggest you consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Audiometry, X-ray MRI can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly.
In case if ringing does not resolve then you can be advised medicines like Tricyclic Anti-depressant like Amitryptiline, anti-anxiety medication like Alprazolam, as well as Multivitamin supplements can be advised..
