What Causes Tiny White Patches On Tonsil With Post Nasal Drip?

I have tiny white patches on my tonsil and my throat is a little sore. Although no redness. I am experiencing some post nasal drip and some sinus pressure. I am curious though if these patches may be related to an sti. I recently had unprotected oral sex with a new partner.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain tiny white patches over the tonsils seems to be due to Follicular Tonsillitis and can be due to bacterial infection in throat..
Post nasal drip and sinus pressure can be due to sinus infection leading to Sinusitis and post nasal drip can be a causative factor for throat and tonsil infection..
You should consult an ENT expert and get evaluated and along with a thorough clinical evaluation he can also advise you MRI of sinuses, throat swab culture and sputum culture to rule out the exact cause of the problem and treatment can be planned accordingly..
As of now you can take supportive treatment like taking painkillers for relieving pain like Ibuprofen, do warm saline gargles and steam inhalations..
You can also chew a vitamin C pellet and suck throat lozenges..
