What Causes Tiredness And Exhaustion While On Xanax?
My son is 18 and away from home for the first time, attending a highly selective college. He has has symptoms of anxiety and depression early on and has been seeing a therapist and a Psychiatrist. The psychiatrist has tried sertraline, lexapro, an anti-depressant that starts with a W. Now the psychiatrist has him on xanax only - 2 pills twice a day for a total of 1 mg. Nothing has worked and both the psychologist and psychiatrist are thinking that something else is wrong as well. He is exhausted all the time and sleeps every minute he can. They are thinking a thyroid issue or mono. We are going to have blood work done. What do you think?

Highly selective colleges are big challanges for everyone. Xanax is given to exprience sedation relaxation to be quiet to sleep. So guess he is in the right effect
If without xanax he has same simptoms, I think hypothyrosis is an option too
Our child's mental health is more important than the grades, let him free his mind. Take care!
