What Causes Toe Numbness?

My right 2nd toe feels numb, Particularly the skin on the tip and bottom of the toe. I don t feel any tingling or any pain just this peculiar numbness. I do have a bunion on that foot but it causes me a little trouble other than fitting shoes. I have read about nerve compression. What would cause that and is there something I can do to get the feeling back?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that there might be having pinched nerve pressure giving rise typical numbness on 2nd toe.
Nerve supplying of toe might have pressure on that particular nerve causing this problem.
This might be due to degenerative changes in lower spines or intervertebral disc.
Go for x-ray lumbao-sacral spines to find out spondilitis.
Go for back extension exercises daily.
Take B1, B6, B12 shots or medicine.
Consult neuro surgeon and get examined.
Ok and take care.
