General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The numbess and burning sensation are linked, they are both due to abnormal function of the nerves in the area.

This is called neuropathy, it can be temporary or permanent. In your case, it is likely temporary.

There are different possible causes , trauma and infection are two of the causes.
It is likely that there may have been trauma to the nerves when you bit into the seed.

It would be best to be seen for the symptoms to be assessed.

Common pain killers can be used but if there is no improvement in symptoms then nerve specific medications maybe needed eg tegretol, lyrica, gabapentin, amitriptyline

I hope this helps
