What Causes Torn Bicep Tendon And Rotator Cuff In A Diabetic?
I work in occupational health in poultry processing. We have a recent case of a 51 yo diabetic male that resulted in torn bicep tendon and rotator cuff. This patient has previous bicep tendon tear. Other than his diabetes what findings could be associated with these continuing tears?
hi, It is unlikely that tendon tears are linked to diabetes. Alternative possibilities like connective tissue disorders and collagen vascular diseases should be considered and work up regarding them should be started. you may consult a rheumotologist for best outcome. Hope this helped.
