Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Tremors In The Chin And Arms While On Antibiotics?
In January I had knee replacement and then the first of Feb. got infection and then had to have it redone and took the antibiotic for 6 weeks and am continuing the medicine by pills. Lately my friends keep telling me my chin is shaking like something is wrong. My hands also shake most of the time and my writing has become very shakey. My friends want me to check out this but my doctor says wait till the knee is done healing. However it is starting to drive me crazy. Can you comment?
You can start investigating the cause of the tremors. Visiting a specialist (neurologist) that may be able to find the cause and having initial testing done (e.g. blood tests to check electrolyte levels - calcium, potassium, magnesium), would not affect knee repair or healing.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Michelle Gibson James,
