Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Tremors In The Hands And Imbalance In The Body?
I have a number of symptoms. I am 70 years old. I have shaky hands when I try to do something requiring concentration. My balance is poor and I might topple over from a simple standing position. Walking over uneven ground can be hazardous. Short term memory loss is becoming more of an issue. (I still have memories from the age of 2). I often feel tired, even after a full sleep. If I am concentrating on something and get distracted I may not get back to what I was doing. I keep forgetting where I left things or why I entered a certain room or place.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
It appears from your description that you might be having neurological problems, mainly related to cerebellum.
Hence, you need to be examined clinically by a neurologist. You might also require some investigations to come to final diagnosis as to what might be the cause, so that it can be treated accordingly.
Kindly consult a neurologist in this regard for further evaluation and appropriate management.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
