Hi,I am Dr. Joan F. Tryzelaar (Cardiac Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Diagnosed in 1999, age 19, with trivial tricuspid, mitral, and pulmonic insufficiencies. I am now 32 and have not been re-evaluated since. I am developing a lot of random cyanosis and tingling/numbing in all extremities. Do trivial insufficiencies progress?
Mitral, tricuspidal and pulmonic trivial insufficiencies are very common findings and usually don't progress if there are no other provocative factor. To be in the safe side I would advise you to repeat Echo. In your age cyanosis and tingling/numbing of extremities usually connected with peripheral nervous or vascular systems and are functional. You should not worry, there is no serious problem, but I would advise you to see your doctor for some examinations.
Hope I could help you.
