What Causes Unexplained Swings Between High And Low Blood Sugar Levels?
My 9 year old son is a type 1 diabetic since the age of 2. He has been having unusual high and low blood sugar for the last several weeks without any changes to his diet, exercise or medication. Any suggestions as to what may be causing these unexplained swings?

I can understand your concern
in my opinion the requirements of insulin will be more in growing phase of children
in this phase they need to monitored closely and insulin regimen should be updated once monthly
I suggest you to speak with treating doctor for the dose correction or kindly sen us the present dose of the kid to get proper guidance from us
