General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome.

The first thing required at this point in time is an X-ray of your left hip and thigh region. An X-ray is required because there could be skeletal changes that may show signs of deterioration of your hip joint, mostly requiring surgery.

But if your hip joint is healthy then we will have to check on other causes that can lead to the movement restriction like serum uric acid levels, RA factor, HbA1C levels, spine related abnormalities, etc.

Best wishes.
