What Causes Unusually Heavy Menstruation With Blood Clots?
Hello, I have a heavy period this month and although I stopped bleeding, I still have huge blood clots and this strange grey tissue coming out of me. Plus my legs, stomach and back are in great deal of pain and my temperature is at 101.6 f . Its been this way for over a month. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow but just need some idea because I am truly scared. I am nineteen years old. Never felt so sick in my life.
Hello and welcome to HCM, Heavy menstruation with passage of blood clots is suggestive of menstrual disorder- menorrhagia. The heavy bleeding can be reduced by medication itself. You need to consult your gynecologist for clinical assessment and prescription of medication. The blood clots can mimic tissue pieces and thus the tissue pieces which you are passing could actually be blood clots. Pain in legs, stomach and back can also be associated with menorrhagia. However, associated fever indicates some kind of infection. Clinical assessment is mandatory for further work up.
