What Causes Upper Back Ache After Starting Omeprazole?

I am having upper back ache since taking omeprazole. Is this a side affect or just something else. It comes and goes but seems to have started when I switched from Nexium. The ache feels like pressure and I have had an EKG in last 6 months and it was fine. Should have known this was a scam!!!!!!!!!!!!!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dear,
You have not mentioned your age and sex. Various signs and symptoms are related to one's biological age and sex primarily, and nature of work he or she do.
Pain has nothing to do with Omeprazole.
You have to recall any recent events taken place in which a sort of trauma happened to your back. Sometimes it is a soft tissue injury. You have to also rule out peripheral neuropathy in case you are suffering from diabetes mellitus. Switch to some analgesic for a few days, take bed rest for some days and see a physician in case things goes bad.
