What Causes Urinary Incontinence And Diarrhea?

So, this issue has been going on for more than 3 months. It all started in my bladder are . I felt like I had to pee but couldn t, and I only peed a little at a time, or a lot of I held it. I went to the doctors 3 times and they only checked my urine and it came up clean. It continued and my (a little above bladder) area and below where my ribs end started feeling sensitive and I started to bloa . So I went to the doctors again and they did another pee sample but after I went they did a ultrasound of my bladder to see if I was clearing my bladder and I was. The doctor suggested I take fiber so I did, regularly after a few weeks my stomach got to weak to push out my poop, I felt like I couldn t flex it and when I tried really hard it hurt my stomach and no poop comes out, but some days I wake up with really bad cramps and have diarrhea, and i noticed Im starting to loose my appetite more each day. Any ideas?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Urinary incontinence is common among with women after 50 and usually is caused by urinary infections or weakened the pelvic floor. This is also a common and often embarrassing problem.

If overreactive or incontinent bladder affects your daily activities, don't hesitate to see your doctor.

For most people, simple lifestyle changes or medical treatment can ease discomfort. It is treated with specific medications, pelvic floor muscles exercises, electric stimulation of behavioral treatment and in most cases this is adequate for incontinence control.

If Cystitisis a cause as a bacterial infection then it must be treated with antibiotics. Surgical options are reserved for severe and intractable cases.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
