What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After A Bowel Movement During Pregnancy?
HI. I am 10 weeks pregnant. , i have slight bleeding like discharge when I go to toilet mainly after pssing stools, Dr has done an internal exam to see where the blood is coming from and says its from the mouth of the womb and it is veyr little thereafter a scan was done the baby is fine growing well, the sack is in tack. there is no visible bleeding in or out side of the baby so she asked me to take Duphaston 5mg a day for 2 weeks. is this okay. it is not alot to go onto my panties , I notice it when I wipe after passing stools. so Not sure what is happening. I was on Oralcon for 6months and previously on Trihpsal for about 4 years. please help.

The following condition in your case is called threatened abortion. There is no abortion, but the pregnancy is at a higher risk of failure.
Studies have shown that the use of duphaston in such cases can be beneficial for pregnancy in terms of decreasing the risk of actual abortion.
i fully agree with your physician regarding taking duphaston and i would recommend taking it for a longer period of time.
few additional points are also important:
1- Dont do sexual intercourse in the time being
2- make sure your blood group rhesus is positive. If it is negative and your husband rhesus is positive you must be given rhogam.
3- keep yourself hydrated
4- make sure you dont have a urinary tract infection.
