What Causes Vaginal Bleeding Along With Abdominal Cramps While On Implanon?

I am a 21 year old female who has not had my period in 2years due to the implanon birth control in my arm (which is still good for one more year). However I started bleeding on 12/24/15-12/31/15 with some really painful cramps. Today 1/14/16 I noticed I was bleeding again but the blood had an orange tint to it and it was a little more than spotting but it wasn t enough to to soak through my pants. I am only 13 days in and was freaked out when I first started bleeding so for it to be happening again so soon is worrying me. What can be causing this?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have vaginal bleeding along with abdominal cramps while on Implanon . Well you are having a long & painful period , this is known as dysmenorrhea. Sometimes side effects of certain medicine can also cause such symptoms . You can take anti inflammatory medicines like Tranexamic acid tablet for painful periods. It will reduce the length of periods & also reduce the pain or cramps during the period .You should exercise daily, this will reduce the pain during periods in long run and apply warm water bag to abdomen . Take a healthy diet full of vitamins & minerals . you could also take diet supplements consisting of omega 3 fatty acids, vitamin e .

You should also continue taking pill as they will reduce painful cramps & heavy flow in long run.
