What Causes Vaginal Infection After A Medical Abortion?
Hi. I had a medical abortion 2 weeks ago (I was 12 weeks and 3 days) about 4 days after I started getting an itchy sensation and a foul odor as well. I ve been following all of the doctors orders yet I m experiencing this issue. Is this normal? Can it be an infection due to the procedure? What should I do?

The vaginal infection could be related or unrelated to the procedure. Pelvic examination, vaginal swab, and culture are required at this point to identify the specific underlying infection and appropriate treatment.
