What Causes Vertical Split Above Anus Despite Suffering From MRSA Cellulitis?
I have had a vertical split in my skin just above my anus in my butt cleft right on tailbone for over 6 weeks. I was also being treated for a possible MRSA cellulitis infection across my chests underneath my breasts and armpits. They gave me doxycycline and then Bactrim antibiotics for all that. I have seen 2 dermatologists and an infectious disease doctor and still cannot get it healed. I have tried to keep it dry with. Baby powder. I have used neosporin and hemmorriod cream to help the pain, but it won t heal. This has happened before, usually after I have been doing a lot of yoga or other exercise... Please help!! Who should I see? It won t heal and I have been taken off all antibiotics because they were causing further skin abbesses all over my arms, chest and legs... The itching is still in my arms and the split above my butt. crack... It s horrific
The split is called a fissure and is very common and sometimes very difficult to heal. The best thing to allow for healing of a fissure is maintain good clean hygiene after bowel movements. I would recommend using a sitz bath to keep the area clean along with witch hazel pads like tucks. If this does not allow the area to heal then you may need to see a proctologist.
