Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have vertigo for few days now which was diagnosed as BPPV .so i got some instructions for exercises and i did some before going to bed. But ..when i went to bed..my nose started bleeding... Not a normal one...lots of blood suddenly jumped out of my nose and then it was over..are these two( vertogo and nose bleed) related? How should i proceed?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Your symptoms are related to many conditions. You should do a blood test and then other analysis. Some advices that I can give you are: • Applying ice to the nose for around 10 to 15 minutes • Pinching the bony ridge of the nose for about 10 minutes • Breathing through the mouth for a while, to avoid any pressure on the nose • Placing a soft and cold compress on the nose • Avoiding any strenuous activity which could cause the bleeding to resume
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
