What Causes Vomiting Along With Stomach Ache?

So my boyfriend has been throwing up constantly since last week and all of it started when he ate at a sea food restaurant and it goes away for some days but comes back the next and he s also been having stomach pain so i m wondering what would be wrong with him.

Hello,

Stomach pain with vomiting is seen in many conditions. As per your presenting complaints, the cause which I suspect is Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD). This is the most common cause of stomach ache with vomiting. We can confirm this as symptoms started after eating sea foods.

Other causes can be giardiasis (an infection from an intestinal parasite), constipation, irritable bowel syndrome. These can be confirmed by an investigation which is exclusively meant for gastrointestinal tract that is endoscopy.

In case of GERD as I suspected in your case, the treatment is:
1. Antacids that neutralize stomach acid
2. Medications to reduce acid production
