What Causes Vomiting And Acid Reflux After Gallbladder Removal?

Hi I had my gallbladder out last Jan. I have been having a time with it. throwing up quite a bit. heartburn that just before I eat something I must have a Popsicle to cool down my throe. I have also been throwing up so much I end up throwing up blood I have had to gone to the hospital at times because I become dehydrated . I have changed my dieted and been staying on low fat high protein. Should I go to a stomach doctor. I am diabetic and have high blood pressure. Thank you Jamie

Hi,

Dyspeptic symptoms and bloating can develop after gallbladder surgery.

As a first line management, you can take antacids like Pantoprazole for symptomatic relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult a gastroenterologist and get evaluated.
