What Causes Watering And Itching In Eyes?

Hi,

I use contact lens. Last week i have problem of watering, itching, little pain in my left eye, i think it is due to dust. Doctor prescribed me these medicines Hyvise forte, ciplox and lubrex, but still there is little pain and feeling of something inside my left eye. Doctor told me to continue these eye drops for two more weeks. After how many days i will get rid of this problem. And my next question is i have to use these eye drops in my right eye also.

Regards,

Meera

Hello
Welcome to health care magic.

I reviewed your history.
It seems from the history that you are having pain, itching and watering in left eye.
This indicates infection of the eye in the form of conjunctivitis and you need to use eye drops as advised by your doctor.
You need to use them for at least 7-10 days.
You need to avoid use of contact lenses till then and there is no need to use the eye drops in normal eye if you are not having symptoms.

Hope the information is helpful to you.

Thank you
