Olmat-20 Mg could cause weakness and low blood pressure as side effect of this medication.
Your mom has both hypertension and diabetes. Your mother sugar medications are fine. But your mother has to modify her life style as well
She can live a long and healthy life by keeping her blood glucose (sugar) levels in the target range set by her health-care provider. She can do this by:
• Eating healthy meals and snacks
• Enjoying regular physical activity
• Monitoring her blood glucose (sugar) using a home blood glucose meter
• Aiming for a healthy body weight
• Managing stress effectively
In your mom case, Olmat-20 mg is not recommended as best option. If I would be your mother physician, I would recommend Ace inhibitors such as lisinopril 10 mg because your mother has both high blood pressure and sugar. As Lisinopril is prescribed medication. Therefore, you need to go to your physician for getting prescription of this medication. Also your physician will run some tests such as Renal function test(Renal profile) before start lisinopril medication.
Also reduce salt intake and 30 minutes daily physical activity is recommended and try to reduce weight if your mother is over weight.
As your mother is diabetic patient and I advice annual screening of her eyes, kidneys and foot care because we have to be on safe side always and safety of patient is our first priority.
