What Causes Weight Gain And Lethargy While On Valparin?
My son had taken Valparin 200 mg 4 tablets every day for 3 consecutive years. He is now 15 yrs. At his younger stage he was hyper active. But after taking this medicine (stopped now) he is very lethargic & putting on weight. Pl let me know whether is it a side effect of the medicine and any remedy

Weight gain is an important side effect of Valparin however it is usually given for two to three times daily.
Kindly consult the doctor for the alternate drug with minimal side effects.
