What Causes Weight Loss, Back Pain And Vaginal Bleeding After Hysterectomy?
I had a hysterectomy in feb 2016. Since then I have lost 45 pounds through diet and exercise. I usually feel great but I have been suffering with lower back pain so intensely for at least a month with a pinched sciatic nerve. I suddenly started vaginal bleeding today and don t know if it is related but my lower back pain has been getting worse and worse. Nothing that I take for pain helps in any way but I did start taking hrt about 2 weeks ago for hot flashes.
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM Vaginal bleeding after a hysterectomy will suggest a local vaginal origin. If your hysterectomy was sub-total, it may be of cervical origin.I will suggest you see your Gynecologist for evaluation. As for your back pain, it may be due to osteoarthritis, sciatica, a metastatic bone cancer....I will suggest you see the Doctor for evaluation.Your Doctor may request for an abdominal scan. However, treatment options for back pain may include: different line of pain drugs depending on pain intensity, myorelaxants, steroids ocassionally, physiotherapy and sugery in some cases.I will suggest you try the following: -Take a pain drug like aceclofenac -A myorelaxant like miorel -Rest well Then see your Doctor for investigate the cause of back pain and vaginal bleeding. Hope this will help Wish you good health
