Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello I quit smoking about 3 weeks ago. My breathing has improved dramatically. My cough has gone away to almost nothing at this point. I feel 10 times better already. I smoked on and off for 7 years. The only thing I ve noticed is I have a wheeze. Sometimes it s not as loud and sometimes it is. Is this normal and will it improve like my breathing and everything else has? I have no shortness of breath at all as I also exercise regularly.

What Causes Wheezing After Quitting Smoking?
Hi, Consult a pulmonologist and get evaluated. You might have developed COPD. As of now you can take bronchodilator like Salbutamol for symptomatic relief. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
