What Causes White Chunk In Vomit And Stomach Pain In A 2 Year Old?
My gr. son is just over 2, threw up cottage cheese like vomit, when he throws up his lips go white. He says his tummy hurts and crys. He can t seem to be able to hold anything down. I just bought him some ginger ale, warmed it...any other suggestions. He didn t seem sick at all until he threw up.
The single episode of white chunk in vomitus may be indicative of partially digested or undigested food stuff most likely. My guidelines at present: - Allow him liquids in sessions at intervals (as boiled water, lemon juice, ginger ale etc) - Prefer to give bland vegan diet and avoid all spices, non veg, junk food, dairy items - Observe the vomiting for next 6 hours, later contact his pediatrician if he has further vomiting
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
