Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi; I am getting white pellets floating in the stool. Sometimes there are 1-2 sometimes more. I know I have IBS. Is there any Aurvedic medicine for this. I generally also have diarreha. I am 64 years old, female and have had digestive problems all my life. Am not overweight.
While I am unsure of different treatments for IBS beyond diet and traditional western remedies, I don't suspect the white pellets are due to a disease. The first thing I'd be curious about is if you are taking any extended release medications. Often, these medicines can pass through your digestive tract and appear unchanged. These are known as "ghost" pills which are typically the most common cause of white pellets noted in stool.
