What Causes White Sore On Tongue With Sharp Pain And Dry Throat?

hi, I just got my braces off and I m now wearing my retainer. I have noticed a sore on my tongue and it s white and I m very concerned, can you please help me to identify it? it started a couple of days ago and i get a sharp pain sometimes along with a dry throat.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Read and understood your history of removing the braces but retaining the retainer. Noe that you have developed white sore on the tongue which must be very painful.
This is most probably due to aphthous or aphthoid ulcers and are very painful.
Please consult an ENT or Oral Surgeon to get a proper diagnosis and get a proper treatment.
I would add on:
Avoid too hot and too cold fluids.
