I have white spots on my tonsils. I have NO flu or cold symptoms my throat is not even sore. I participated in oral sex a couple of days ago. Could these spots be something minor or serious and connected to the oral sex? Really stressing, thanks for your help!
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain white spots on tonsils can be Tonsil stones formed due to calcification of debris that gets accumulated over tonsils.. Other cause can be pus pockets secondary to bacterial infection but as there are no other symptoms chances of tonsil stones are more.. l would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and he can confirm the cause with a clinical evaluation and treat accordingly.. But you need not to worry as there is nothing serious and is treatable.. In case of tonsil stones removal of the same and avoid recurrence with gargles with water and hydroge peroxide solution , warm saline solution, and limit intake of dairy.. In case of pus pockets antibiotics and warm saline gargles will relieve..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
