What Causes White Spots On Tonsils?

How sick can I get from eating ChapStick? I have an Eos ChapStick. The Blueberry Acai. I like to lick it, my sister caught me licking it, and now I m scared I m going to get really sick. Can you help? I m also afraid bacteria on it can cause tonsil stones, even more. I always check my tonsils and I saw white things on my tonsils.

Hello,

While it is not advisable to consume the chap stick, it is unlikely that it will cause you to get sick. Do not worry about this. As far as your tonsils go, tonsil stones or tonsil infections are common in people who have had recurrent episodes of tonsillitis from childhood. I would not connect the two.

I would suggest you perform salt water gargling twice a day for 3-5 days. See if you have throat pain or a fever. Otherwise you do not have an infection of the tonsils at this point.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
