I recently had an ear infection that was treated with drops. Now, occasionally I will have pain that runs from my ear to my throat. The doctor says it looks fine, nothing that would cause pain. I also have a thick yellow mucous that I can squeeze from the back of my throat on that side and it has a foul odor. Can this be treated?
Ear ache has got so many causes.Since your ear problem has already been treated they may be other possibilities like throat infection, tooth problems or tonsillitis which can cause ear ache. That yellow mucus you are talking is probably post nasal drip, that is seen in nasal infections. You can take a course of antibiotics, gargles and nasal drops. This will certainly relieve your problems.
