What Causes Yellow Vaginal Discharge During Pregnancy?
hi i am 22 weeks pregnant and i am having a slightly yellow discharge that is tinged brown and it also had a small brown hard oject mixed inside of it and i dont really think this is normal is it ok i am 21 yrs old 4th pregnancy i had a miscarriage about 10 months ago and so this worries me
Vaginal discharge during pregnancy is very common, because of the increase in the levels of estrogen hormone and the additional flow of blood to the vaginal region.
A light yellow discharge is no cause for concern, however a thick yellow discharge during pregnancy especially if it is accompanied with itching or burning sensations, or a strong odor could be the symptom of a disease or an infection.
In such cases you have to go your doctor to rule out serious problems, rather than just assuming it will clear up on its own.
You should follow some advice like:
Keeping the genital area clean and dry all times. Wearing clothes and especially undergarments that are loose fitting and will not irritate the skin.
Stay healthy. Take care.
