What Causes Yellowish Discharge With Blood From Nose While Suffering From Brain Tumour?
Hi, my husband had a yellow liquid drip from his nose yesterday. It happened a few times and later in the day had a few streaks of blood in it. Then later he blew his nose and had a yellow wax build up in his tissue. It has not happened since. He isn t concerned as he has no headaches, blurred vision etc and feels fine. There was no odour either. He does have a benign tumour in his water cell of the brain which he had examined again last year and it had not changed from 8 years ago so there was no further concern from the specialist. What could this be please?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Piyush K's Response
Welcome to HCM. I understand your concern. Nasal drip of yellow coloured usually signifies cold but since he had blood in it along with associated previous history of blowing of nose could had lead to mild rupture of blood capillaries within the nose. If the blood amount is not too much then there is no need to worry. In case you do have a concern then you could always check the nasal passage after consultation with an ENT specialist. Hope i answered your query. Thanks and regards.
