What Causes Yellowness And Lump In Tongue While Being Diagnosed With Cryptic Tonsillitis?

I have yellow on my tongue that kinda looks like fuzz and I have a bad case of chronic cryptic tonsillitis and a lump that has formed on the back of my tongue behind taste buds I think that feels like it s a lump in my throat. I m scared and paranoid about it any ideas? Any help would be awesome.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain chronic cryptic tonsillitis is a condition in which there is formation of small crypts over the tonsils that can accumulate food debris and bacteria and at times can calcify and form small calcified masses known as Tonsil stones or Tonsilloliths and is a cause for recurring tonsillitis..

A lump over the tongue seems to be secondary to infection and can be either an inflamed tongue papillae or can be an abscess or a pyogenic granulaoma..

The yellowish coating over the tongue is commonly a non harmful layer and is due to poor oral hygiene and there is accumulation of debris and dead cells over the tongue papillae..

I would suggest you to take a course of antibiotics like Azithromycin, take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen, do warm saline gargles, steam inhalations and suck throat lozenges..
Chew Vitamin C lozenges..
You can also gargle with 1:1 solution of hydrogen peroxide and water to remove debris from tonsils..
Drink plenty of water and always gargle after meals..
You should also clean your tongue daily using a tongue scraper..
Use a soft toothbrush and dip it in a solution of hydrogen peroxide and water and brush your tongue to clean it off..

In case of no improvement in a week consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
