Greetings. I am 31 years old Man. I feel a weakness throughout the day and my urine colour is yellow. I had hypertension once, but it is now normal by two years. I also have hyperuricemia and marginal thyroid problem and once I suffered from Jaundice. Kindly provide me the information on the test I need to do and regarding treatment. I doubt it is protinuria. But not confirmed.
Yellow discolouration of urine is due to Urochrome pigment in urina, a degraded product of heme. Past history of jaundice has no realtion unless u r presently sufferiing from it. Proteinuria does not lead to yellowing of urine. If proteinuria is to be ruled out, go for Urine routine followed by 24 hour urine collection sample to quantify proteinuria
