What Could A Brown Spot In Toe Be?

Hi , my husband just noticed tonight(it wasnt there last night) a small brown spot on his toe cushion . The spot is dark enough and is flat . He also noticed a tiny (maybe the size of the head of a needle) very light brown ( almost beige) spot under the same foot . Im worried . What could this be???

I really appreciate your concern for your husband, looking to the history given here I could say that the brown spot that is being noticed could be due to the rodent bite, and this need to be investigated, otherwise clinical examination is the only way to judge this, hope this information helps you, take care and have a nice day.
